Errands

It is amazing, the nice things you can come across while running around, performing the most mundane of errands.

A fish friend on a wall.

These little guys line the tramline in the west of Nantes. Not sure if they actually serve a purpose (this IS France, after all).

I like to call this the ghost cadillac.

Love. Period.

Polytech.

Something tells me those are English rugby fans...

On they go on....

Place Bouffay, packed for the Ireland v. France rugby match, Nantes.

Money! at the fete foraine of Nantes.

AMGO and I go for a trip to castle, Nantes. Castle is a block from my apartment and not much of a site, simply a landmark on the way to tram.

More photos from last fortnight

These photos include:

Le vignoble Nantais, on a wall in Nantes.

A discarded chestnut harvest, Nantes.

Leaves in the tram tracks, Nantes.

The view of the castle from the LU tower, Nantes.

View of traditionally built houses from my bedroom window, Nantes.

The beginning of a project

Alex, my trusty Texan, upon learning that I desperately didn't want to come back to France suggested I start a photo project, taking one photo a day. I liked the idea, seeing it as an opportunity to work on taking better photos and seeking out interesting subject matter. So far it has been going well, although I have left my camera at work a few times and had to rely on my roommate Rob's camera.

I guess the idea is to take any photos (you will see that some really are random), but I like the idea of seeking out everyday surprises. Just some random glimpse or image that makes the edge of your smile tilt up a little or makes everything just that much sweeter.

These are the photos are from the last two weeks.
